Red Alert giving props to all the blessing DJ's, Grandmaster Flowers, Frankie D (From Marcy), Von K, Plummer, DJ Divine, Infinity Machine, The Disco Twins, Sesame, DJ Smalls (little Hollywood), The Together Brothers, Luvbug Starski, DJ Hollywood, Pete DJ Jones, Kool Herc, Grandmaster Flash, Afrika Bambaataa, Grandwizard Theodore, Disco King Mario.
Gotta always give props to Red Alert for always mentioning my man DJ FRANKIE D (from Marcy Projects) when he speaks of the original DJ's that was holding it down. A lot of people don't always mention the BROOKLYN and Queens DJ's for that matter.. but BROOKLYN and QUEENS was holding it down with the DJs and monster soundsystems like the Disco Twins with their infamous Bertha speakers! and my FRANKIE D from Marcy with the monster BASS!

Vanessa Williams Davy DMX "L-ROCK THE RIGHT MIX"
Vanessa Williams "The Right Stuff" mixed with Davy DMX One for the treble. I remember being in the Empire Roller Rink in Brooklyn back when I first heard Davy Dmx's one for the treble.. then weeks later I started to hear it on the radio. Quick side story on the Empire Roller Skating Rink in Brooklyn... all the names you read about in those FEDS magazines and DonDiva.. or seen a documentary on their life.. if they was from Brooklyn! they was up in the empire..
that spot in it's hey day was something to see circa 1983-84.
L-ROCK 1994 MIXTAPE THROWBACK
This is how we use to do it on the tapes back in the days.. no protools, no tempo lock, no auto BPM match, none of that.. just two vinyl records, two turntables, mixer, microphone, and a cassette tape.
